1942 FSA photos by Marjory Collins

A year ago I put together blog posts of photos from my birth year, 1942. The photos were all from a collection which the LC Prints and Photos Division was mounting on flickr. Here are links to the posts: 1942 photos from OWI, 1942, and 1942 again.

P&P has done another set of photos from that era, this one by one of the first women photojournalists, Marjory Collins. The introduction to this collection is here. It says that Collins became one of the Farm Security Administration photographers who documented home front activities during the Second World War. Yesterday's post on this blog features two others.

Here is a self-portrait and a set of 1942 photos from the P&P Division's sampler of Collins' work.
